My sick little Taddie do da...

Again... he's sick... He's been on breathing treatments for about a month. Now this weekend he got sick again. We went to the doctor yesterday and now he's taking another round of steriods. He just got off them about 3 weeks ago...

We are going to take him to see a allergist now. Guess we'll see what she has to say. Hopefully, they won't have to stick him too many times. They said they'll do the skin test when we go. That should be really, really interesting.

Monday - he bite someone AGAIN!! I just don't know what to do!! I know he was feeling bad that day. I probably should have kept him home. When he got home his poor little eyes were just so droppy. This morning he seemed much better! After a LONG night...

Another biting phase...

I don't know what to do. It's started again. Now it's over sharing toys... His teacher said she's going to work on sharing in the class. I hope that helps. Tomorrow we are going to visit Kristy. We'll have to practice while we are there and see how things go. I haven't experienced a biting episode. I usually tell him to share and he cooperates. I'm not saying the teacher is wrong. I definitely believe her. I just don't really know what to do when he hasn't done it in front of me.

We've definitely got to get him talking more. I think that would definitely help.

My poor sick child

Monday Tad didn't seem himself when I picked him up from school. He was running fever and starting to cough. Tuesday he went to school I told them he slept a LOT the previous night and that he was still coughing. No fever. I get a call at 3:15 that he was running fever and very upset because he wanted to sleep. Burnell picks him up and he was wheezing a LOT. So we start the breathing treatments, more medicine for fever and he sleeps a LOT again. Yesterday I stay home with him. I made a doctor's appointment and we ran to work to get some things for me to do at home.

A few people said he looks fine. Then I start to doubt whether I need to bring him to the doctor. I decide to bring him anyway since I took off and he was home. Well, the doctor listens to his chest and also takes his blood pulse ox. Well... it was really low and his lungs were tight and rattling... The doctor made me give him a breathing treatment in the office because he wasn't worried. Said he could have pneumonia due to the fever and lung thingy...

It's only the beginning of fall, winter, etc... Now he's on a round of steroids, breathing treatments and then preventive breathing treatments daily until this season is over. He's just going to LOVE that... He is hoping the daily preventative will help.

He's not diagnosing asthma because of his age. He's hoping he'll outgrow. I guess if we make it through next summer and next fall he starts again, then he'll send us to a specialist. Who knows... my poor child...

Tonight I laid in my bed with him, we watched cartoons and he feel asleep to the breathing treatment. Then off to his crib he went. Guess that will be out new nightly routine. I think we'll also read books once he gets use to the machine. He LOVES to read short books.

My son does amaze me sometimes...

This afternoon when I picked him up at school he was playing with this little toy. He got up when he saw me and came to me. Then he turned around, picked up the toy, put it in the drawer where he got it and closed the drawer! Can I say shocked?? I guess we are teaching him something. I was amazed!!

This morning after putting his shoes on I noticed that his toes were starting to hang off the ends. Not good! So after school I decided we needed to get him some tennis shoes. We went to Stride Rite and I was SHOCKED when I learned he needed one and a half sizes larger than he was in. We bought those sandals in June and he already outgrew them by that much... I still can't believe it...

Back to school

Tad finally went back to school on Monday. I wasn't sure how it was going to go. He walked right in and started playing. He did great!! Again this morning when I dropped him off, he was fine. They said he had another great day!

My little "chomper" has been very good these last few weeks with his "mouth gard" in place at school. aka pacifer Hopefully when we start back after vacation we'll be able to stop using it at school!

I think I'm going to stop sending pictures of Tad to everyone except to family members. Last night I sent some more pics of Tad. In my email I said I hope I'm not overwhelming you with pictures. Someone responded, yes, you are. Please stop. I thought maybe they were joking. I responded that I wouldn't send anymore. They said thank you!!

Now I'm thinking maybe I am being too overwhelming. Sorry!!

Tad's First Haircut

Here are some quick pics! After much thinking and waiting I finally decided it was time to get his haircut. Lenee and I had a deal that when she thought it was time she'd let me know. Well, I guess after seeing his wild early morning hair, she decided what I thought a couple weeks ago. It was time. I LOVED his curls!!! I was a little sad, but it does look cute!! Thanks Aunt Lenee for coming with us!!

Should I cut it yet?? I LOVE his curls but is it time? Lenee suggested that I wait until the end of summer. That was my original plan, but I'm worried that it's getting wild. I can always wet it and brush it and it calms down. Just some thoughts??

Yesterday Tad didn't cry when I dropped him off at school. I'm so HAPPY!! I felt horrible leaving a crying child.

Tad's new school

Tad started a new school on Monday. He was really excited that first day. Didn't even care B and I left him. Well, the rest of the week has been a different story. He's been crying every day. It makes me so sad!!

They said he's been wonderful!! I think he really likes it. I know I love it!

The last week at his old school he bite two children. SO far no biting here. Yeah!!

Oh, how I LOVE it!!

That's my kindle. I have read many more books lately since I've gotten it. I LOVE to read and this is just the best. Today I finished "Midwives: The Novel". Excellent book and I'm not a fan of home births. It was one of Oprah's Book Club choices. I usually read chic lit. I know... nothing educational, but I LOVE romance books, british ones are really great.

I'm also reading "The Last Lecture". So far I'm really enjoying it.

While getting a pedicure today I brought my Kindle along with me. It started quite a few conversations. Everyone liked.

Tomorrow is my sister's wedding. Should be fun. I'll post pics soon. Say a prayer that Tad is good. He's suppose to be walking as a ring bearer.

Ahh, it's great to have a life again!!

Now that April 15th is over, I can have fun again. Yesterday Burnell and I were both off. That meant Tad was able to skip school too. He can do that while he's little because it's just daycare. We got up early thanks to Tad. We decided to all go bike riding around the neighborhood. We visited family and stopped at the gym. We joined one of those 24 hour fitness centers. I took salsa areobics on Thursday night. It was fun!!

Last night we had our April 15th party. That was nice too. Tad spent the night at Aunt Ne Ne and Uncle Dan's house. He had quite a fan fare from what I hear. He had a blast!

Today Tad and I went bike riding and stopped also to get ice cream. We played outside too.

No haircut yet!

No, I didn't cut his hair. Everyone has asked me that after seeing the overall picture. He does look so grown up in that pic. My mom, dad and sisters think I should cut it, but I'm just not ready to say goodbye to the curls!! I LOVE them. I really think I'm going to cry when we cut them...

Yes, today is April 15th!! Yeah!! I will have a life again.A few pics of my adorable baby boy!

Finally my Kindle is preparing to be shipped. It's my birthday present!! It was ordered on the 13th, but because of the popularity they have been backordered. I don't really have reading time now anyway, but I was tempted to order from ebay. Just didn't want to spend the extra $150. Yeah I'll have it soon!!

When are pillows safe for toddlers? Tad loves sleeping with his head on his bumper pads. I know, I know... I shouldn't have those in there, but he likes to lay on them.

Worst mom experience I've had!!!

My baby evidently had a stomach virus yesterday. Well, I didn't know that until I got to Babies R Us. He threw up on three times!! The last time was while I was looking for a new outfit for him to wear since the one he had one was disgusting... I think he's feeling better this morning. I left to go to work before he woke up so I'm not 100% sure, but Burnell said he was.

Yep, he's finally walking!! I didn't know if this day would come. I'll post some pics soon!!

I finally turned his carseat front facing also. I know, he's past a year and over 20lbs but I wanted him safe... I don't think he knew what to expect this morning being able to see me.

He just moved up to the one year old room at daycare. That's a challenge. He already goes to bed early and now I think he's ready for bed as soon as he gets home. In the one year old room he only gets one nap a day. He's definitely not use to that. He LOVES to sleep. He's in bed by 7pm and sleeps until between 6 and 7 in the morning. That's kind of early, but even if we keep him up late he still wakes up early. This is with two, two hour naps also. He definitely takes after his mother!! I LOVE sleep!!

Speaking of which that's where I'm headed now...
