Again... he's sick... He's been on breathing treatments for about a month. Now this weekend he got sick again. We went to the doctor yesterday and now he's taking another round of steriods. He just got off them about 3 weeks ago...
We are going to take him to see a allergist now. Guess we'll see what she has to say. Hopefully, they won't have to stick him too many times. They said they'll do the skin test when we go. That should be really, really interesting.
Monday - he bite someone AGAIN!! I just don't know what to do!! I know he was feeling bad that day. I probably should have kept him home. When he got home his poor little eyes were just so droppy. This morning he seemed much better! After a LONG night...

Ms. Betsy
Ok, I know this is weird cause you don't know me, but somehow I got on this Prairieville blogosphere, or something like that. I am a nurse, but I have also had horrible breathing problems with my son. He is now 12 years old, and very little problems. However, from the time he was 1mth to 3 yrs., he had extensive problems. Long story short. It was Dr.Marianna Sockrider, in Houston Texas, at Children's Hospital, that finally got him better. It was a nightmare until we saw her. They had done a couple "barium swallows" and they all came back negative, and said that he was not refluxing into his lungs. We had gone to several specialist. She did a bronchoscope and collected "washings". That is where they put a little water into his lungs, during the bronchoscope, then they tested the water. He had a bunch of weird germs in his lungs. She said that they had to be coming from somewhere. So she did a "ph probe", and discovered that he was indeed refluxing 60% of the time, and the ph of that stomache contents, was a "1", meaning it could melt tires off of a car. She gave him medicine to kill of the weird germs, also gave medicine to prevent the reflux, & meds to change the ph of it. I am sorry if I have scared you, but I would rather spare you the years of worry that we went through! My email is lisa36_99@yahoo.com if you have any questions. Good luck & God Bless!
